Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Ceris Marketing (“we”) processes when you use cerismarketing.com and our Instagram automatic message service, why we process it and how you can exercise your rights. It is based on the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR where applicable, and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) for users in Türkiye.

Instagram comments and messages

When you comment on one of our Instagram posts (@gurkanceri) with a specific keyword, we receive the following through Meta's Instagram API so that we can send you the requested link by private message:

• Your Instagram username and the Instagram-scoped ID assigned to our account
• The text and ID of your comment and the ID of the post
• Whether you follow our account (only for guides available to followers)
• The time of the comment and whether the message was delivered

We do not receive your password, your message history or other profile information.

Why and on what legal basis

Our only purpose is to send you the guide you asked for and to avoid sending duplicate messages. The legal bases are performance of your request (UK/EU GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5/2-c) and our legitimate interest in running the service properly (Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5/2-f). We do not use this data for advertising, profiling or sale.

Website data

Our server keeps standard logs (IP address, browser type, time of visit) for security. Analytics and marketing cookies only run if you consent in the cookie banner. Download counts for our guides are recorded as totals without personal data. If you contact us through a form, your name, email and message are used only to reply to you.

Sharing and retention

Instagram data reaches us through Meta Platforms and messages are delivered through Meta. Records are stored only on the server hosting our website and are not shared with anyone else. Instagram comment records are kept for a maximum of 12 months and then deleted.

Your rights and data deletion

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to processing and to complain to a supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO). To request deletion, send “delete my data” to @gurkanceri on Instagram or email info@cerismarketing.com with your Instagram username; we will delete your records within 30 days and confirm. You can also remove our app's access at any time in Instagram → Settings → Website permissions / Apps and websites.
